Thanks so much to all of the organisers - I had a great time and felt so welcomed even attending by myself. It was the first time I have attended an IBD related in person event and it far surpassed my expectations! It was amazing to meet other IBD patients and hear about their experiences. There seemed to be a wide age range of attendees which I think gave everyone a chance to talk to peers of a similar age which was lovely. It was also great to be able to openly discuss the intricacies of life with IBD with people who can relate - I didn't realise it would be so easy to make friends when you have IBD in common! Found the Q&A session with the gastroenterologist after the podcast to be invaluable. - I felt like that was much more informative that my own 1:1 appointments with my gastro consultant.
