New Survey: Understanding the Cost of IBD

In our 2024 survey, 62% of respondents revealed that IBD is a significant financial burden. We need your help to gather more insights to strengthen our advocacy and push for better support for those living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

With a new government in place, this World IBD Day, we aim to present a report to the Department of Health and Finance, urging them to recognise IBD as a long-term illness and to provide better financial support for those affected.

Share Your Experience:

Complete our survey to help us understand the financial impact of living with Crohn’s or Colitis. Your insights will contribute to our efforts to secure the recognition and resources the IBD community needs.

As Ireland's national charity representing people with Crohn's and Colitis, we are committed to ensuring that the voices of the IBD community are heard and effectively represented. This new survey seeks to explore both the financial and emotional challenges faced by individuals with IBD in Ireland. Your experiences are essential for identifying the support gaps and guiding our advocacy efforts to ensure better resources and care for everyone living with IBD.

This research is conducted in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine and Ipsos B&A.

Why Your Participation Matters:

By participating, you’ll help us build a powerful case for better care, resources, and financial support for the IBD community across Ireland. Your insights are invaluable to our advocacy work.

The survey is open to individuals diagnosed with IBD or adults who care for someone with IBD. Please note, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is not classified as IBD.

The survey is completely anonymous, and your personal details will not be collected or stored by Crohn’s and Colitis Ireland or Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.

Help Us Shape the Future of IBD Care:

We encourage you to share your experiences and contribute to shaping the future of IBD management in Ireland.
