Here at Crohn’s & Colitis Ireland, our main goal is to be there for you every step of the way. We provide support services, guidance, and a shoulder to lean on for individuals and families affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). While we may not have a cure for the condition, we're here to help ease some of the burdens that come with living with IBD.

Our Mission

To empower individuals and families affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)by providing vital support, information, and advocacy that enhance daily living and promote resilience.

Our Vision

“A world where people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) can thrive today, with a future free from the IBD tomorrow”

At Crohn's and Colitis Ireland, we're more than just an organisation; we're a community of support for those navigating life with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, collectively referred to as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), here in Ireland.

Whether you're directly living with IBD or standing alongside someone who is – be it parents, partners, family, or friends – we're here for you. Our focus is on enhancing the well-being and quality of life within the IBD community through compassionate and understanding support services. From advocacy to informative resources, specialised training, and engaging events, we're dedicated to uplifting everyone impacted by IBD. Additionally, we strive to enlighten healthcare professionals about the immense value of peer support as part of their approach to managing IBD effectively.

Living with IBD can bring about various challenges, including social isolation, employment or educational setbacks, stigma, and emotional struggles such as anxiety and depression. We're here to offer a helping hand to those experiencing any of these difficulties.
